If you have already registered, this information should have been sent to your email. Below is the race day specific information you will need.
First, thank you for supporting Oregon Foster Care! We are going to have a great time and the run will be a perfect start to 2015. There are several logistical items listed below which will help us, and you, make this event run smoothly.
Parking
From Hwy 43 (South State Street) turn East onto Ladd Street (at light). Park along Ladd, Furnace (turn South), or (turn West) onto Green Street. Once parked, walk down towards the Willamette River to the old Lake Oswego Furnace for registration. There are approximately 70 parking spots near George Rogers Park on Green Street. And, an additional 50 spots along Ladd Street and Furnace Street, which is one street North of Green Street.
If you pre-registered, you may pick up your packet starting at 8:45 AM on Jan 1. If you need to register additional people, please do this online at Athletepath.com. We will not have a convenient method to accept payment onsite.
There are restrooms with flushing toilets, but plan for a line.
T-shirts
If you registered late, or did not get the correct size shirt you ordered, we will be making an additional order at the end of the event. Notify the registrar of the discrepancy and we will mail to you the shirt(s).
Packets
Packets are grouped according to last name. If you registered as a family, all of the bibs will be contained within the same packet. At registration you will be asked to sign a release for taking pictures. These pictures will be posted on our website, and may be used in the future. You can opt-out. Please support our sponsors who have have generously donated to this event.
Race
This is a fun run! This is an open course, meaning there may be other people, bikers, and cars on the path. Please be respectful of others. We will have a brief overview of the race course at 9:55AM. The race will not be chip-timed, but awards will be given for first place in each age and gender group. Please line up according to how you predict to finish. There will be varying levels of experience and abilities.
Course
The race course is out and back. The start is at the top of the hill at George Rogers and goes South along the Willamette River behind Marylhurst University. You will turn around just before you get to West Linn. Encourage other participants! Beware of traffic. You will finish at George Rogers Park under the arch.
Awards
There are first place awards for 6 age groups for men and women (18 and Under, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and Over). In addition, there will be chocolate medallions for children as they cross the finish. Albertson’s has donated water and bananas at the end of the course and Starbucks generously donated coffee!
Final
Don’t forget to dress warmly! Forecast is 28 degrees and sunny at race time. It can be breezy down by the river.
